Poems

LOVE

Some know my name
But to all I appeal
Some say they don’t like
the way I make them feel.

Some open their heart
And let me enter
Some say they didn’t hear my knock
Others say I’m their mentor.

Some say I teach them
To value the worth of the other
Some say they hate me
And would be devoid of me rather

Some say they help them see
Me in the others eye
Some say once in their hearts I enter
I only grow, I never die

Some say they see God
When they see me around
Some say they value me
I’m a treasure that’s rarely found

Some say the true me
They are unable to find
Some say the worth of this life
Thru dear ones I remind

Some say they want me
To be with them forever
But I say once you get hold of me
Leave me never.
