Short stories

She was nice, and he too.

Twenty year-old boy & girl were sitting on a balcony which had a vista of beauty and also a nostalgic feeling of the years he
had behind him.

Feelings of loneliness and solitude are gone now, he thought to himself.

She laid her sleeping head on his trembling shoulder, a trembling shoulder which was also tired, of being lonely.

But now as though all the years of solitude was gone he was happy but didn`t know why he liked to cry. His tears, shining in
the dead of the night, rolled down his rough cheeks and wet it.

Looking to her eyes, he put his hands on the girl`s shoulder and together they began singing a love song by their favourite
singer.

They sang and sang as though nothing could stop them from burning in flames of passion and love.

But all of a sudden the girl stopped singing.

"You know how much I love you babe. Want you to call my name, please call my name” she said.

The boy called her name and their eyes burnt down by the fire of desire.

"Sarah!" he said.

Soft breeze of the night was blowing through their dancing hair Then lighting a cigarette the boy asked her,

"My little babe, did you ever know how many times I`ve been waiting to see you here in my arms again?"

There was a silence. the boy asked again, but the girl made no response to his feelings.

Trying to ask the question again, he reached out for the pillow beside him, a pillow on which his wife used to put her sleeping
head. A pillow with the scent of her soft long blond hair, a pillow which was a nightmare to him, and on that lonely bed he
used to make love to her everynight… but now…

He held the cold pillow, smelled and kissed it, then the alarm of his cellphone rang…

He had to get to work…the lonely, forty years-old man…
