Working from home is not a new concept.  It is a practice that has been going on for a long time.  To earn extra income
and at the same time without ignoring the needs of the family women took up home-based work or business.  However a
rise in home-based work is noticed in the recent years. Earlier it would be more of jobs like tailoring, hobby classes,
tuitions etc that were done at home.  To add to this list, now we have jobs like virtual assistants, affiliate marketing, data
entry operating etc that can be done at home.

In terms of comfort there can be no comparisons between working from home and from office.  While working from home
gives you more freedom over your schedule, it also gives you more room to relax.  Office politics can demoralize the best
of best workers, while working from home there are no such hassles.  We can choose our work as per our interest and
not as per the openings available.  It’s seen most of the times people do a job as a job and not because they like what
they do.  

Some choose this option as it offers a break from all the bullying at office; while for others, it may be the only option (e.
g., house-bound due to health or to care for elderly parents). You can build a profitable home-based business working
part-time from your home computer.  Loans designated to people interested in working from their residence can make
home business dream a reality.  Depending on the type of home-based work you choose, there may be small jobs that
your children can assist you with.
































Create a professional working environment in your home office.  Ensure that you are free from distractions or
interruptions.  Often, unlike working in an office, working from home may not have all the great furniture, storage
devices, etc.  It also involves certain overheads hence consider these overheads in the remuneration you charge.

To begin with you can search on the Internet for jobs that can be done from home.  Be aware of firms that charges
money to give you job.  Most of the times these firms are fake.  Look out for companies that prefer freelancing.  
Spread a word of mouth amongst your friends about your willingness to freelance,  Initially.  This will give you an idea of
the extent you can go in this field.

Due to the benefits attached working at home, now even men have started exploring this option like never before.  
Working from the comfort of your home is like having the best of both worlds.  But care should be taken that work is done
with utmost seriousness.  The competition for such work is increasing.  If you lose out on the opportunity given, someone
else may make use of it. Remember if you want more projects to pour in, be at your professional best.  Home-based
work is a gaining popularity and growing stronger each year.
